Lucent Glass Recent Projects

While this project was outside of the typical commercial interior wheelhouse, it was no less a good a fit for our attention to detail and quality.  Generally speaking, our scope or work was limited to bathroom shower enclosures for these very high-end residential condos in the heart of Buckhead.  Harrison Design Associates wanted a sleek look for the showers and employed a series of design-focused glass elements to achieve this.  Our installation had to be carefully coordinated with the other trades to ensure matching finishes as well as aligning components to maximize the design intent.  The final product provides a low profile and robust solution that far exceeds that of a traditional residential shower enclosure.  It perfectly complements the rest of the condo finishes and ties in the overall theme of fine living.

Lucent was brought on by HITT Contracting to provide a traditional glazing solution outside of the current demountable wall system present in the space.  Perkins + Will selected an Oldcastle aluminum product with insulated glass to provide a low-profile, yet acoustically secure solution for the consultant space.  Neither form nor function were lost in the design change, as we were able to provide glass doors and sliders similar to that of the legacy space within the stated budget.  Existing slab height discrepancies created elevations changes that were outside of the system’s tolerances.  To offset this challenge, we field applied a matching break-metal under the bottom track and scribed it to the floor.  This alleviated the exposures and provided a clean continuous finish to the bottom track.

This 3-floor project located at Overton Park was completed for HITT Contracting in 2014.  Gensler employed a minimalistic approach to the glass to maximize the amount of natural light in the space without compromising budget.  This was done using simple butt-glazing techniques and slim channel products all totaling around 800 lineal feet of glass partition and office sidelights.  This project also contained custom McGrory backpainted writable marker boards and full glass doors.

This project located at Terminus 100 was completed for HITT Contracting in 2013.  The floor that this tenant took was unique due to the 24 foot deck height, allowing for very tall ceiling heights.  All of the office fronts were designed to accentuate the high ceilings with 12 foot tall RACO and glass assemblies.  To accommodate the schedule we fabricated onsite and took field dimensions and glass orders as they were ready.  There was over 120 feet of aluminum and glass fronts installed on this project at the end of the day.
